We got up close with 6 week old Snowy, a puppy who was left on the side of a highway and Zebra, a 6 week old kitten! We was hard to contain our excitement!! A few of us were a little overwhelmed with emotions, a mix of joy and sadness for the animals and some of the situations they experienced before arriving at the shelter. We focused on the fact that all the pets at the shelter are happy to be there and will only be given to wonderful, loving families.
Of course, we all wished we could walk out with a pet and there was even talk of a "class dog". As this was not an option, we were reminded that we can still help, even if we can't take any animals home. The shelter is always in need of donated supplies: cleaning supplies, paper towel, cat food, cat litter, dog toys, Canadian Tire money and more!
My was told of this, posted to the shelter's Facebook page:
Congrats Team 24, I am very proud of you!
