Shelmerdine's

On Friday Team 24 and Mrs. Shabaga's class headed to Shelmerdine Home & Garden Centre! Students participated in three stations. They took a tour of the centre and the greenhouses with a VERY knowledgable and friendly staff member (thanks Mary!), potted their own plant and made a tissue flower.

Students were able to see examples of concepts they had previously learned about in the classroom. It was incredible! We didn't want to leave, in fact, we were 15 minutes late to our bus OOPS!
A cactus that grows white hairs!
A stone that grows a flower!
The Venus Flytrap
This flower looked too pretty to be real, but it was.
Where's Leland?
Another GORGEOUS flower!

Thanks to Shelmerdine's for having us! It was a FABULOUS field trip and we learned so much more about plants and had a blast!
