This afternoon we walked to the neighbouring personal care home, Oakview. In two groups, we met and visited with residents and a day program group. Students introduced themselves to their buddy and began teaching them how to make a Christmas tree craft. Afterwards, students read to their new companion and enjoyed cookies and juice.
I was SO proud of students' behaviour during our visit. They were on-task, friendly, caring, polite and helpful. I was one proud teacher! Great job, Team 24! Here are some pictures from the visit:
