Happy Monday!

Another exciting Monday for Team 24! We filmed our dance for the Safe Schools video (thanks to everyone who wore pink!). We also created 3-D objects from nets. Look for a cube, cylinder and cone to come home today (the pyramid came home on Friday). We have worked on identifying the faces (which are flat), edges and corners of these objects. Ask your child to describe the objects.

As part of our study of Egyptian clothing, we are looking at Egyptian jewelry. After watching a video clip and doing a picture walk of non-fiction books with a buddy, students described the jewelry as large with bright colours and lots of gold. We will be making our OWN Egyptian jewelry and started the process by painting pasta gold today. Tomorrow we will create our necklaces using glass beads and gold pasta. It will be the first souvenir we add to our Egyptian suitcase. Look for pictures of our finished pieces tomorrow!

We finished the day with a visit from my puppy, Malakai!

Remember- library tomorrow!
