Egyptian Clothing

This morning, we learned about Egyptian clothing. Egyptian people don't wear the same clothes we do. But they do dress for the weather like we do! Egypt is in the desert in Africa, so it is very HOT! We now know:
-Kids often don't wear clothing. (Damien)
-Egyptian children had bald heads with a "lock of youth" on one side (a ponytail). (Sienna)
-They wore golden jewellery. (Braden)
-Rich Egyptians would have had brightly coloured clothing. (Brianna)
-Workers would wear white clothing because it was cheaper. (Liz).
-In Egypt, they usually wear white clothes because it helps them keep cool. (Spencer)
-Clothing was made from linens. (Emily)
-Egyptians had wigs. They brushed them with combs made of wood. (Ava)
-Necklaces could be big and bright. Men and women wore jewellery AND make-up, to keep the sand out of their eyes. (Sienna)
-They wore cones on their head of perfumed oils that dripped down their head to make them smell nice and to cool them off. (Spencer)
-They wore sandals because it was so hot. (Ava)
