June is here! Unbelievable! Where did the time go?!

We are feeling the itch of summer, but we still have lots of fun adventures to be had and work jobs to do! I am beginning final assessments and am even starting report card writing this week. Attendance will continue to be very important for students, particularly for grade 2 students as they are currently writing the Divisional Grade 2 Math Assessment.

Today, we attended a presentation made by Sports Manitoba on Helmet and Bike Safety. As of May 1st, 2013 everyone under the age of 18 must wear helmets by law when using a mode of transportation other than a car. The presentation was a great refresher on the importance of wearing our helmets when biking, rollerblading or on scooters and on how to properly fit your helmet. Bike Helmet Safety

This week, students will enjoy 2 TIA sessions with Harmony! We will get our creative juices flowing and continue writing our bean plant song. Stay tuned! We will perform our song at our year-end Celebration of Learning :)

Our last library class of the school year is Thursday. Students, please return your library books!

Students remember- I am away for a Professional Development session Wednesday afternoon. Please be respectful learners for the guest teacher :) Make me proud! I know you can do it!
